Coaching at Measure More: Guiding to Sustainable Success
At Measure More, we believe that coaching is more than just offering advice; it is creating a partnership focused on sustainable personal and professional growth. Our coaching is designed to not only support individuals in their current role, but also to help them build a solid foundation for their future. We understand that the path to success can sometimes be challenging, especially for people who find themselves in a new culture and work environment, such as asylum seekers or people who have just moved to the Netherlands.
One of the most important elements of our coaching trajectory is to limit or even prevent dropouts. We know that leaving the trajectory, or not achieving goals, is not only frustrating for the participant themselves, but also for the organization in which they work. That is why at Measure More we have a carefully constructed program that supports and motivates participants to persevere and remain successful in their professional development.
The Guidance Cycle: 6 months to 1 year
Our coaching is an intensive trajectory that usually lasts from 6 months to 1 year, depending on the needs and goals of the participant. During this period, we work with the participant on different phases of their professional and personal growth, carefully evaluating each phase and providing support where necessary.
-
Initial Phase - Getting to Know You and Setting Goals
At the beginning of the trajectory, we focus on getting to know the participant: their background, experiences, strengths, and challenges. This forms the basis for setting concrete, achievable goals. We ensure that the goals are not only relevant to the workplace, but also to the personal development of the participant. This makes the trajectory more meaningful and provides motivation to continue. -
Development Stage - Skills and Personal Growth
The second phase focuses on the actual development of skills. This goes beyond the technical skills required for the specific role and also focuses on the broader skills that are essential for success in a new work environment. These include:- Communication skills : Improving both verbal and non-verbal communication.
- Self-management : Skills such as time management, prioritizing and stress management.
- Work Ethics and Culture : Gain insight into Dutch work culture, norms and expectations.
- Professional attitude : Self-confidence, initiative and problem-solving thinking.
By developing these skills, the participant not only gains more control over the workplace, but also over their personal growth, which is crucial for preventing dropouts.
-
Evaluation and Reflection
After several months of intensive guidance, we evaluate the progress of the participant together with them. This is an important step in the process, because it helps us determine whether we are on the right track and whether the set goals are still relevant. During the evaluation, we also discuss any obstacles or challenges that may have occurred and adjust the process where necessary. -
Future Plan - Sustainable Success and Self-Reliance
In the final phase, we focus on the participant’s future plan. We look not only at their current role, but also at the opportunities for further growth and development. We ensure that the participant is self-reliant, so that they can independently continue their career without constant supervision. This may mean that they are ready for new responsibilities, or that they can confidently enter the job market if they eventually want to explore another career opportunity.
The Importance of Limiting Diet Loss
Dropouts often result from a lack of motivation, insufficient support or not achieving goals that were too ambitious. That is why we pay a lot of attention to maintaining motivation and setting achievable, realistic goals. We ensure that the participant feels heard and supported, which contributes to a positive experience and increases the chance of success. Through regular contact, adjustments and evaluations, we stay on track together with the participant.
