Guidance for Asylum Seekers and New Residents at Measure More
At Measure More, we understand that starting a new career in the Netherlands, especially for asylum seekers and newcomers, comes with many challenges. Integrating into Dutch work culture and functioning effectively within a new work environment requires not only technical skills, but also a deep understanding of local work ethics, communication and professional standards.
To facilitate this transition, Measure More offers a structured guidance program specifically designed for asylum seekers/newcomers who are already working or have just started working in a sector in the Dutch business community. Our program is designed to support participants in both their personal and professional development, with a focus on improving their work-related skills and promoting self-reliance.
What does the program entail?
The guidance programme combines different approaches to ensure complete and effective support:
- Individual coaching : Personal guidance to set goals, overcome obstacles and build self-confidence.
- Group sessions : Sharing experiences and learning from each other in a safe and supportive environment.
- Practical guidance : Focused on applying new knowledge and skills within the daily work situation.
Guidance objectives:
Our program has the following core objectives to support participants:

Deepening your understanding of Dutch work culture and ethics : We help participants better understand the specific norms and values of the Dutch workplace so they can adapt and communicate more effectively.

Guidance for personal and professional goals : We offer space for setting and achieving personal and professional goals, taking into account the background and ambitions of the participant.

Improving work-related skills and communication : Communication is crucial to success in the workplace. We support the development of both verbal and non-verbal communication skills and ensure that participants feel more confident in their interactions with colleagues and managers.

Encouraging Self-Reliance and Growth in the Workplace : Our program focuses on strengthening participants' self-reliance by helping them independently solve work-related challenges and achieve their career and life goals.
